                        cold and rain
Your protective stance kept me safe from harm,
We sat cheek to cheek in a created calm.
You asked me plainly about
                      my treacherous past
I knew I felt safe with you
                      and told you my story
The three hours followed and the rain fell down
As time past, I dreaded the walk back to town.
We stood close together facing
                        your nerves were shown
I smiled, my arms around your neck

    wild thingsthere are days i
want to run with wolves.
to howl at the stars because
the moon has never done
anything for me, and swallow roses
like their thorns never
existed.
but this cage -
it seems there's no way
out,
and i fear it's

deep

life is just a zoo full of
all our monsters, and
